UNDERSTANDING YOUR CARE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!
Our team is here to ensure your tattoo is taken care of in the best way possible. New developments in the industry such as “second skin products “ have changed the game in healing your tattoo. Breathable and waterproof, these products also prevent irritation from clothing and and everyone one around you who just want to awkwardly touch your fresh tattoo!
Your artist will assist you with the first wrap for your tattoo. This will stay on for up to 24 hours. If for any reason it is not holding well (like tattoo leaking too much). Or you just can’t stop fucking with your own awesome new tattoo. take it off before the 24 hour mark. If this is the only bandaging that your artist recommends please refer to the” TRADITIONAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS “ below.
If you and your artist discuss using our second skin products for the whole healing process, keep reading for more tips and tricks. Such as, this product is waterproof, and you can definitely shower with this product on.(we actually recommend you do). Of course, no soaking under water via pools, hot tubs , or baths.
When taking off the first film, use warm soapy water to peel off the film. Taking your bandage off in the shower is recommended, it will help it not hurt as much when taking the bandage off.. Of course, wash those grimy ass hands, the tattoo, and area around it. Let it dry thoroughly before applying second layer. When applying, make sure your film covers at least an inch around the whole tattoo. Rounding the corners with scissors will help your film stay better longer. This can be worn for 3 to 5 days, depending on how well the product holds.
If your tattoo is leaking excessively and making your film not hold well, you can absolutely replace it again. You may replace the bandage 2 to 4 times to ensure your tattoo heals properly.
We will provide your extra pieces for an extra charge.
IF FOR ANY REASON THIS PROCESS IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU, TAKE IT OFF AND REFER TO THE “TRADITIONAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS “
Otherwise Here’s how not to fuck your shit up. (aka: TRADITIONAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS )
Don’t listen to your stupid friends, they don’t do this for a living, nor do they know better than your artist.
Wash your grimy ass hands before touching your tattoo at all times until it is healed.
Keep that shit moisturized with an all-natural moisturizer, or non-scented hand lotion.
Wash your tattoo with an antibacterial soap before applying moisturizer. Of course, making sure to wash those grimy ass hands!!
Absolutely no ointment products. It is an outdated and an unnecessary process. (refer back to #1 if confused)
Do not scratch, itch or do anything to irritate your tattoo. If you have to smack that shit (real hard) it will help the itch and make me feel better each time.
Your tattoo is going to peel. Deal with it!!
If you’re going to be outside, sunburn can cause problems! It is absolutely necessary that you allow your tattoo to heal completely before going out in the sun.
No swimming. No soaking. No hot tubs. No hot baths. Basically, avoid water outside of regular showering (while following the above-mentioned precautions) for 2 WEEKS.
